opinions

We live in a day and age where our voices are sometimes used instead of actions. Where screaming that you are a good person somehow translates that message more so than actually going out and proving it.

Something I've come to realize though is just because you have your individualised opinion does not mean that its the truth. The world we live in now finds any reason to tear people down, and I am nothing more than a teenager at their keyboard at 1 o'clock in the morning tired of it all.

Where did the days go where 'cancel culture' wasn't the main focus of people's lives? I understand that we are a social generation, in the term that we are glued to the screen in front of us, but what happened to sharing the good rather than laughing at the bad.

People are obsessed these days with finding the next thing to add to the neverending list of social embarrassments.

Speaking from personal experience, I think I've lost the ability to make real human connections easily. Everything is so calculated these days and honestly trying to find the good can be hard. But it's so worth doing.

Over the past few years, we have been encouraged to use our voices because it's been labeled as our most powerful weapon. That's not true anymore. It's time that we all take a step back, retreat into what we know and leave certain things and certain people alone. If you want to help, do. But not at the expense of anyone else.

It can't be all talk. Prove yourself through actions.

Not all things need to be said. Let certain things rest.

Save your opinion for things that truly do matter, because I promise you, not everything does.
